Janak Jhankar Narzary, born in 1948, is a prominent Indian artist with a distinguished career in the realm of fine arts. He has received a comprehensive education in the field, having studied Fine Arts at MLSU, Baroda, and earned a Ph.D. from VBU, Shantiniketan. Additionally, he has held solo exhibitions at BAAC in Kolkata and the ABC Gallery in Varanasi, further solidifying his presence in the Indian art scene. His work has garnered recognition and found its place in notable collections, including the Lalit Kala Akademi (LKA) in New Delhi, BAAC in Kolkata, and the ABC Gallery in Varanasi.
