Jasbinder Singh is a talented animation filmmaker and artist, born on June 7th in Rourkela. He embarked on his creative journey by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from M.S. University in Baroda in 1994, laying the foundation for his artistic pursuits. To further hone his skills and delve into the world of animation, he pursued a three-year diploma in Animation Film Making from Zica in Hyderabad in 1998.
Throughout his career, Jasbinder Singh has actively participated in art workshops and exhibitions, showcasing his commitment to the world of visual arts. Notable among his experiences are his participation in a community art workshop conducted by Michael Anderson and Nalini Malani in Baroda in 1990, the selection of his work in the Sixth All India Art Contest in Nagpur and Jaipur in 1992, and his involvement in a painting workshop conducted by N.C.P.A. in Bombay in 1994. He has also held solo exhibitions of his paintings in Baroda, Chandigarh, and Rourkela, along with contributing to various group exhibitions in Rourkela. Jasbinder's artistic journey has been recognized and supported by accolades such as the Alumni U.S.A. Scholarship from M.S. University in Baroda in 1995, as well as his second-place award in the All India School Festival organized by U.S.O. in Delhi in 1984. His works have found their place in collections such as Transpak Industries Ltd., ESSAR Gujarat Ltd., Hobby Centre, C.L.S.F. Rourkela, and several private collections in India and abroad, demonstrating the widespread appreciation for his artistic talent and contribution to the field of animation filmmaking and visual arts.
